Sporting coach Rita Latas was questioned about Slimani’s comments on social media.
Journalist Rita Latas, from Sport TV, has been subjected to disciplinary action by the Portuguese Football Federation’s Disciplinary Board. At stake is a question posed in a quick interview with Ruben Amorim, after Sporting’s match against Chavez. Coach Rita Latas questioned the comments made by Slimani, a former black player, an additional topic of the game, something the regulations do not allow.
At the time, the sports rep asked the league rep to write Rita Latas’ question into the report, because it was a question out of the game’s context. This is due to the fact that in league regulations, quick interview questions should be assigned to the game in question, and not side topics.
On social media, Slimani hinted that he was not used much at Sporting because Ruben Amorim preferred to play with Paulinho, the other club’s striker. “It just so happened that he didn’t like me to play well and had to put the player away from him. [Paulinho] So he found excuses but all these facts will come out soon,” the Algerian striker wrote.
“One last question and a few on the sidelines of the game because it is impossible to escape from this topic. Soleimani’s words are addressed to Ruben Amorim. What comments do they deserve when Soleimani said that, apparently, he did not want him to play because Paulinho asked journalist Rita Latas. Ruben Amorim did not reply , noting that at the press conference he answered this question, but in the quick interview he preferred to talk “a little about the game.”
