Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko Turn to Telegram To criticize the ongoing investigations into the conditions of the shelters. He condemned the “endless searches” that hinder the effective management of the city.
“Today there is a big campaign to discredit the authorities in the capital and discredit me personally. In wartime, they bring chaos to the administration of the capital.”says the responsible person.
Klitschko did not mention the Ukrainian president directly, but he criticizes the decision and believes that it is too early to start political battles while the conflict with Russia is still ongoing.
“Have we won already? Do we have other challenges? The main problem is Klitschko? Someone is eager to take control of the capital again.”, accuses the local official. He adds that these political struggles “hold the people of Kiev hostage.”
Vitali Klitschko has been mayor of Kiev for nine years. Before the start of the Russian invasion, in February 2022, he was considered one of Volodymyr Zelensky’s biggest opponents.
At the end of last year, the Ukrainian president accused the mayor of Kiev of incompetence in helping the population to access energy sources.
At that time, Vitali Klitschko realized that he shared some of the responsibility for the failures, but there are other defendants who should be indicated, namely those whom the president himself appointed.
