Google today launched its new model to help developers and researchers build responsible artificial intelligence (AI). Gemma is the latest model built using the same technology used to create the Gemini models, Google revealed in a statement.
Gemma was developed by Google DeepMind and other teams at Google. The model is inspired by Gemini, and is now available worldwide in two sizes, Gemma 2B and Gemma 7B, with each size launching with pre-trained and tuned variants.
Gemma models are able to work directly on laptop Or computer desktop From a programmer. The model is designed with Google's AI principles at the forefront.
Google has stopped short of making this model fully “open source,” which means the company can still determine terms of use and ownership.
“As part of making Gemma’s pre-trained models secure and reliable, we use automated technologies to filter out certain personal information and other sensitive data from the training sets,” the company said in a statement.
The technology company confirms that it will continue to expand the Gemma model family and hopes to “introduce new variants for various applications.”
