Google has launched the alert for all users who can’t do without Chrome for surfing the Internet. In fact, one of the most popular and user-friendly browsers in the world, Google Chrome, is under attack and users are at risk.
Google Chrome is under attack and millions are already at risk!
Google has already confirmed this attack on the official blog, surprise third in 2022, also known as Zero Day attack. Google warns that an exploit of CVE-2022-1364 is loosely present so criminals will be able to bypass Chrome’s protection and attack the computers of those who use it. Worst of all, all platforms are vulnerable. That is, everyone running on Windows, macOS, Linux or Android is at risk.
To protect Chrome users, the search engine giant has not revealed how this attack was carried out. However, it is already available on the internet how people can take advantage of this flaw.
The problem here is the Chrome component responsible for handling Javascript which is at the heart of Chrome. However, this is the second time in three weeks that an issue has arisen with this rendering engine.
In response, Google has released a new version of Chrome (100.0.4896.127) but warns that it’s not yet available for everyone. However, in some cases it is necessary to force the installation manually. To do this, simply click on the three-dotted menu in the upper right corner, choose the Help option and then About Google Chrome.
This is an increasingly serious problem. Attacks keep increasing. However, in March, Google admitted that these attacks on Chrome and other browsers are multiplying rapidly on the Internet and is paying little attention!
So, when in doubt, always keep your browser up to date.
