The Gareno Health Department kicked off the national influenza vaccination campaign on Monday (12).
The first phase targets children from 6 months to 5 years, 11 months and 29 days, pregnant and postpartum women, health workers and indigenous people.
Influenza vaccination, in the central region, will be in the elderly care center (CCI). In neighborhoods, this will be done in the basic health units of Campo Largo, Maracana, Nova Trieste and Primavera.
For vaccination against influenza, it is not necessary to make an appointment or register. It is sufficient for a Gareno resident to appear at the vaccination reference point closest to his home, along with the original document and the vaccination card.
The vaccination will be Monday through Friday from 9 am to 11 am and 1 pm to 4 pm
For those who have already taken the vaccine against COVID-19, it is essential to provide evidence of vaccination, as there is a minimum period for dosing application.
It is important to note that only stage 1 target audiences will be vaccinated at this time, so avoid crowding.
Flu vaccination, for elderly people over the age of 60, will only be in the second phase, scheduled to start in mid-May.
The full flow of influenza vaccination will take place parallel to the vaccination against COVID-19, in separate locations, to avoid clusters.
