In early February, Samsung unveiled its latest lineup of high-end smartphones to the world, the Galaxy S22 Ultra, Which SAPO TEK had the chance to trywhich is emerging as the new “jewel” in the South Korean manufacturer’s crown, with news regarding its photographic capabilities.
DxOMark has already put the cameras of the new smartphone to the test and its analysis reveals that, despite the presence of improvements over the previous generation of equipment, the Galaxy S22 Ultra does not reach the “podium”.

With a total score of 131, the smartphone reaches the 13th position in the global DxOMark ranking, far from the top three led by Huawei P50 Pro (144), Xiaomi’s Mi 11 Ultra (143) and Huawei Mate 40 Pro + (139). The device also shares its place in the rating with the Oppo Find X3 Pro, Vivo X70 Pro, and X50 Pro+.
In the ranking of high-quality equipment, the Galaxy S22 Ultra climbs only one place, and it shares 12th with the Oppo Find X 3 Pro and Vivo X50 Pro +.
Remember, the Galaxy S22 Ultra has a configuration that is led by a 108MP rear camera, with a 2.4µm sensor. It is accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide angle and two 10MP telephoto lenses, one with 3x optical zoom and the other 10x with f2.4 and f4.9 aperture.
The front camera is 40 megapixels and f2.2 lens slot. The device is also capable of recording 8K videos at 24 frames per second, as well as 4K videos at 60 frames per second.
The experts at DxOMark explain itIn terms of positive points in the photographic category, where the Galaxy S22 Ultra scored 134 points, the cameras allow for adequate white and color balance in all conditions, a good level of exposure in most scenarios with a wide dynamic range, and natural-looking bokeh as well as adequate exposure and colors in all Zoom settings.
Already in the video, a category in which it reached 114 points, DxOMark emphasizes the ability to simultaneously quickly and smoothly autofocus, good exposure and a wide dynamic range in brighter conditions and indoor spaces, as well as good stability during recording.
