The Government Clinic of the Peripheral District – Formosa has strengthened the secondary health care service in the city and the region. Residents can now access consultations with doctors in various specialties and high-cost exams, such as CT scans, GI endoscopy and mammography.
Inaugurated in early March, the Goiás Government Health Unit is an innovative healthcare proposal that will provide services to the population of a vast area of more than 1.2 million people. According to the unit’s general coordinator, Silvana Movardini, visits are scheduled to facilitate access for residents, all through the IS complex.
Visits take place from Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 7 pm, and exams are scheduled as soon as possible, in order to provide the health service effectively. Residents will always be well attended and with all the attention,” he asserts. In addition to expensive tests, there are doctors in several specialties, such as cardiology, neurology, gastroenterology, hematology, gynecology and complementary activities such as physiotherapy and others.
Freelance worker Marcio de Araujo, based in Formosa, had to undergo a CT scan after consulting with a specialist in the public network. He was referred to the dispensary and was quickly treated on Friday (1/4) and underwent the necessary examination. Commenting on the Policlinka Ombudsman, he reiterated his gratitude for the prompt response and fulfillment of his request.
“Very grateful for the welcoming service, dedication of the reception staff and the excellent structure. The medical care was also very welcoming,” he noted in his comment.
Silvana Movardini explains that residents can search for the basic network in their municipality to send the request to the list, and to perform tests and consultations in the polyclinic. “Our goal is to provide health care to the residents of Goias with excellence in service and a humane approach to people,” he says.
