“I’m proud to say this is fantastic,” Harrison Ford said during a Lucasfilm screening session at the D23 Expo, an annual event for Disney fans.
“Indiana Jones films are about mystery and adventure, but also the heart,” said Harrison Ford, whose voice was clearly moved in front of an audience of more than 7,000. “We have a human story to tell and at the same time a movie that will kick your ass,” he said.
Harrison Ford said he was “surprised” to be back in the role, and also said that this is the end of the road. “I will never stumble again because of you. But, thank you very much for this,” Ford joked.
The actor asked director James Mangold who was called up by Lucasfilm, Ford and Steven Spielberg to lead the project, and thanked him for his work.

Multi-Oscar composer John Williams, responsible for the epic themes of the saga, is back to compose the soundtrack for the new movie.
Alongside Harrison Ford on screen, the audience will see British actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge, best known for her series “Fleabag”. On stage at the D23 Expo, the actress said that she had the best experience of her life making the movie.
“I am so lucky to work with legends. We have done so many incredible things together.”

Disney premiered the first-ever film footage, which featured aging Indiana Jones with a steady life as a college professor. Having said that his adventurous days are over, Jones once again finds himself engrossed in an epic journey packed with action – and some comedic moments.
The screening of the new movie “Indiana Jones 5” was one of the most praised moments of the second day of the D23 Expo, focusing on the following titles from Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios, held by Disney.
The D23 Expo, which brings together the biggest Disney fans from around the world, runs in Anaheim until Sunday, September 11th.
