According to the file, the communication was sent by the state, on Thursday (2). The cases were identified in a genome study conducted by the state Department of Health, which collected material from patients who were hospitalized in the public network in the first half of August.
One case has been confirmed of a 19-year-old patient, a resident of Chakara Vlora, who has already been discharged from hospital and, according to the city council, is at home and is doing well.
Another 59-year-old woman, a resident of Corias, remains in hospital, but is in a medical bed, her condition is stable, according to the secretariat.
The other three cases are for elderly people aged 90, 78 and 73, who, according to the city council, have comorbidities and cannot resist the complications of the disease. The three lived in the neighborhoods of Castriotto, Quitandinha, and Cimmeria, respectively.
The Ministry of Health stressed the importance of maintaining preventive care for the population, and warned the population against attending vaccination centers and completing the vaccination schedule.
“It is essential that people continue to use the mask in the correct way, cover their nose and mouth, wash their hands with soap and water or use alcohol gel when this is not possible, and maintain social distance. Avoiding crowds is still very important. These are life-saving situations,” the health minister said. Aloysio Barbosa Filho: “It is important that everyone continues to do their part.”
Other confirmed delta cases
In all, 11 delta cases have already been confirmed in the city. Three were confirmed earlier this month.
