FC Porto inaugurated this Friday morning a space in the club’s museum with a statue of coach Sergio Conceicao.
At the ceremony, Conceicao appeared alongside President Pinto da Costa, who unveiled the artistic statue, immortalized in the Museum of Blues and Eggs, in the space dedicated to “Tanto Porto”.
Next to the space, there are also the trophies won by the coach, either in this role or as a player at FC Porto.
“It was a longing for me. There are three coaches who have deeply marked me in my life as a white and blue player: Eustrich, Jose Maria Pedroto and Sergio Conceição and I am happy to be inside this museum, as well as other coaches who have had great victories, but these three were the things that I identified the most in football and in everyday life. “We are very happy to have you here and we are glad you will be staying longer,” said Bento da Costa, speaking to Porto Canal.
“It’s an honour. It’s touching for me, my 15-year-old comes to mind, and being among so many figures in the history of this club is amazing for me. More than acknowledged, it’s inspiring and motivating. This drive has to do with the daily demands.
This happens less than 24 hours after Porto beat Benfica 3-1 In Estádio do Dragão, for the 16th round of the first league, which The Conceição team gave 2021 unbeaten in the tournament.
