The Department of Health has increased the workload of 509 public employees, pursuant to Order 146 signed on Friday (28) and published today in Official Gazette of the Federal District (DODF).

This measure allows greater community access to the services provided by health, as it includes professionals who work in primary, secondary and hospital care. Essential workforce enhancement for the new measures expected by the volume, which include opening new hospital beds and increasing attendance.

Among the professionals whose workload has doubled, there are nursing technologists who are responsible, for example, for administering vaccines and collecting tests, among other functions. The list also includes nurses, pharmacists, physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, nutrition technicians, oral health technicians, analysts, technicians in public health and aid administration, and social workers, among other specialties.

In parallel, in 2023, the Ministry of Health has already held two calls for new active servants. In January, 1,236 successful candidates were nominated, including 437 physicians, 454 specialists, 220 nurses, and 125 dentists. In early April, 372 more were called due to job openings, including 233 doctors, 21 nurses, 7 dentists, and 11 pharmacists, among other positions.
