In its presentation Monday evening (13) Capcom showed a new trailer for its new IP, Exoprimal, which shows gameplay and more details, and also confirmed that there will be a closed network test on PC (Steam) in July. Registration can be done in a few hours in this link.
To prepare players before putting on their mechanized combat armor and joining the fight, Exoprimal director Takuro Hiraoka introduced the dynamic main game mode, Jurassic Survival. In this multiplayer experience, two groups of five foreign fighters race to complete commands given by Leviathan, the evil artificial intelligence behind the dinosaur invasions. Teams must complete missions before their rivals to win, survive and find a way to escape from the deadly Leviathan games.
The new trailer showcased a selection of targets that make up Jurassic Survival Mode. These include VTOL Defense, where swarms defend collapsing aircraft against dinosaur attacks, and the Omega Charge, which offers a giant hammer that Exocombatants use to destroy targets.
The video also revealed two new sets of Offensive Class outfits armed to the teeth. Barrage, a warm-up combat bomber, and Vigilante sniper join a growing arsenal of futuristic outfits that teams can swap out in real time to coordinate and conquer any challenge.
While many situations pit players against hordes of dinosaurs, there are others where they clash head-on with opposing teams, and even some situations where rival teams must band together to eliminate common enemies, such as the mutant Neo Tyrannosaurus.
Exoprimal will be released in 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, and PC (steam).
