Benfica midfielder Orkun Kukcu was included in Turkey’s final 26-man squad for Euro 2024, after coach Vincenzo Montella omitted eight names from the first expanded list he had already released.
Among the eight names excluded are players such as Soyuncu, Ozan Kabak and Enes Unal, all of whom suffer from physical problems.
In the final stage, Turkey is in Group F, with Portugal, Georgia and Czechia, so Kokcu is likely to face Antonio Silva and Joao Neves in the competition that will be held starting next week in Germany.
