Estoril Lisboa Festival, an event celebrating the best of classical music whose summer program ended the day before yesterday, gets people talking on social networks due to an unusual exchange on one of the promotional posters. In the many ‘mupis’ around Lisbon, it is possible to see, in one of the concert advertisements, that the production, instead of illustrating the concerts with a picture of the 25 de Abril Bridge, mistakenly placed a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge. located in San Francisco, USA.
The “slip” did not go unnoticed by many Internet users, who noted criticism of the organization. “At this point, San Francisco is full of pride. It’s spoken abroad” or “Hey sexal stranger” are some of the comments made to the error. The two bridges are relatively similar in that they had the same builder involved, Morrison Knudsen, who first built the monument in the North American city.
The 47th edition of the Estoril Lisboa Festival runs until December 18th. Summer concerts included Esemble Darcos, Gulbenkian Orchestra or Olivier Latry on the lineup. The event has the support of the Ministry of Culture, the General Directorate of Arts, the City of Lisbon, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and Santa Casa, among other entities.
