YuOn Wednesday, a team of divers found the body of a woman in the River Lune in England, as part of the search for a woman who had been missing since Friday.
“We can confirm that we were called today at approximately 4.20pm after a body was found in the River Lone, near Halton,” explains a statement from Lancashire County Police, posted on social media.
According to authorities, no “official identification” has yet been made, and officials “believe the body to be that of Shannon Canning,” the young woman they were looking for.
“Shannon’s family has been made aware of this situation and our thoughts are with them.”

Shannon Canning, 24, was last seen earlier Friday after leaving her home in Lancaster. The Tipple Bar—where he works—was supposed to open downtown that afternoon, but never showed up.
Already today, the team of divers has carried out searches in the respective area, also supported by teams of firefighters.
