The British singer’s blistering performance followed two sunny days at the legendary music festival in south-west England, where tens of thousands of fans were thrilled by Guns N’ Roses, Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, Lizzo, Luis Capaldi and more.
John’s husband and filmmaker David Furnish told Sky News that some fans have speculated that the ‘Rocket Man’ singer’s first appearance at Glastonbury will be “very special” and will feature four of her chosen guests, including Dua Lipa and Britney Spears.
John, 76, known for his bright suits and iconic glasses, is nearing the end of his latest tour, which will represent the last British show at Glastonbury.
Glastonbury organizer Emily Eavis, whose father Michael started the festival at Worthy Farm in 1970, said the event would be a wonderful send-off for John.
