The Secretary of State for Health, Sandro Rodriguez, completed the agenda, this Tuesday (1/11), in the city of Goiás, accompanied by Vice State Fernando Corrado, Mayor Anderson Gouía, and other regional leaders. On this occasion, they visited hospital units in the city, such as the Rio Vermelho clinic.
One of the six units implemented in the current administration across the state, the Policlínica opened in Goiás in May this year, taking care of about 20 medical specialties, as well as performing imaging examinations and multidisciplinary care, a hallmark of the current administration in Health localization. The unit installed in the municipality is responsible for serving more than 200,000 people from 17 municipalities in the area.
The secretary also visited the Hospital de Caridad São Pedro de Alcantara, an agreement with the Goiás government to maintain ten beds in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). “We are also investing in the regionalization of health through these partnerships, supporting the family in charitable units and ensuring care for those who live in the Rio Vermelho region,” emphasized the Secretary.
Sandro Rodriguez also said that after the critical period of the Covid-19 pandemic, installed and approved beds remained active for general cases, ensuring quality of life for residents of the interior. “The commitment of the Goiás government is to re-evaluate what the state is really able to achieve here, and check what it needs to benefit more and more, in order to strengthen the health center here in the city,” he said.
During the visit, Mayor Anderson Gouía made a point of emphasizing that the Goiás government had always provided support to the municipality, which once again helped promote the health improvement of the population. “São Pedro Dalcantara Charitable Hospital is the only hospital we own and it has saved many lives. We have always received a lot of support from the state and are always ready to strengthen partnerships.”
State Vice President Fernando Corrado also reinforced SES-GO’s commitment to family preservation across the state during the agenda in Goiás. Accompanying the secretary on a visit to the municipality’s disabled hospital units, Fernando Corrado emphasized the importance of using the buildings already installed to regionalize health. “We are committed to bringing benefits to the Rio Vermelho region and we are working in this direction with the Goiás government,” he said.
