In addition to the six pre-hospital units (UPHd) and the Duque de Caxias Municipal Health Center (CMSDC), dengue vaccine is also available in the units of the municipal primary care network: Basic Health Units (UBSs) and Family Health Units (ESFs). See the list of units and addresses in the four regions at the end of the article.
Vaccination against dengue will be given in two doses, three months apart. The vaccine approved by Anvisa protects against all four dengue serotypes. Children who have been infected with the dengue virus for less than six months should wait to receive the vaccine. As of Tuesday morning (12), a total of 3,773 children had been immunized in the municipality.
SMSDC warns that it is essential to be accompanied by a guardian and present your vaccination card, CPF and SUS card at the time of vaccination.
