Dua Lipa It has it all. She's coming off a great 2023, with a couple of songs in hand, including one from the 'Barbie' movie soundtrack, for a 2024 full of potential with the release of a new album. In an interview with the magazine Rolling StoneThe singer talked about the process of creating the project, the individual stage she went through while writing the songs for the material, and even about mental health.
“To be honest, I'm not very good at therapy. Although I'm very disciplined in many areas of my life, or at least I try to be, I have a certain difficulty locking myself in a place to talk about how I'm feeling,” she admitted.
Dua says she thinks she finds it difficult to open up about therapy because she's already doing it, very directly, with her closest friends. He added: “I talk to them about everything that happens.” To take care of her mental health, she prefers to practice yoga and meditation.
“I like closing the loop and it keeps me moving forward. I think when things are left open, or when we don't confront the problem, we can get stuck in a loop of negativity, or fall, or get stuck. What someone thinks 'you,' or your anxiety, or all of those things . This is what worked for me and helped me,” Duaa explained.
This is also how you deal with the end of relationships. When making her new album, due out this year, Dua Lipa was single and decided to draw inspiration from that period to write new songs: “It's easy for me to talk about being single and the good parts of it.”
She continued to reflect on the topic: “If it weren't for the time I spent writing these songs and understanding myself, I probably wouldn't have discovered what I want, how I envision a relationship, and what kind of person I should be.” Whatever it is, every experience is a great lesson.”
But it seems her lonely days are over. At the end of last year, Dua began a relationship with French director Romain Gavras. The relationship ended last month, but the singer has already found a new love: actor Callum Turner, whom she was caught kissing this week in Los Angeles.
