Digital Bros., owner of 505 Games which was publisher of Remedy Entertainment’s Control, revealed that more than 3 million units of the game had been sold and had collected over €92 million in revenue.
Since its launch in 2019, Remedy has provided additional content for Control and released the Ultimate Edition for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. This version includes performance and graphics improvements and includes all additional content.
This allowed it to continue selling more units over the long term and allowed Control to sell over 3 million units. Control’s budget was less than €30m and with revenues of over €92m, it’s easy to see the enthusiasm for more experimentation in this world.
In its latest financial report, the company also revealed that Control 2 will have a budget of €50 million and Project Condor, a multiplayer game set in the Control universe, will have a budget of €25 million. Both games use Remedy’s proprietary Northlight Engine.
Control is a supernatural action-adventure game, set in the world of Alan Wake, where you shoot and implement special abilities to free a company from the supernatural threats you control.
