“The robot allows surgeons to obtain an ideal view of the area and preserve the tissue overlying the cartilage. It has integrated technology that captures all anatomical data of the patient and matches pre-operative information and images with real-time analysis during the surgical procedure. It is possible to create a personalized approach plan, and make precise adjustments to The incisions and installation of the prosthesis are made with great precision, compared to traditional surgery,” highlights the CEO.

ROSA Hip works on the basis of fluoroscopy – which provides moving and real-time images of the joint, based on X-ray emission. The platform consists of technology that integrates a robotic arm with advanced, data-driven software, which performs 3D preoperative planning and provides intraoperative information about the patient's soft tissue structure and bone anatomy.

These features facilitate precise bone cutting, range of motion analysis during surgery, and the best combination of implants for each patient. Currently, the surgical technique compatible with the robotic hip platform is anterior technique, a procedure in which no muscle or tendon cuts are necessary. Using this technique, the muscles are simply spaced apart, providing a less painful postoperative period with less muscle weakness, which is faster and more comfortable for the patient.
