The Argentinian wishes the Eagles “all the best throughout the season”
Franco Cervi spoke to the microphones of Sport TV at the end of the friendly match between Benfica and Celta, a match that counts for the Algarve Cup, which ended in victory. 2-0. The Argentine did not hide how “special” this meeting with the Eagles was for him, taking the opportunity to thank him for the “affection” he received in the Algarve.
“It’s very special. It was a pleasure to see these fans again. I had great moments with them. It’s been so many years. It was a very good stage, I want to thank everyone for the love they have given me,” he said, before wishing “the best” for the Reds next season.

Looking at Celta, the Argentine posited that the club had “high expectations” for 2023/24: “It’s a very important year for us. We have high expectations. We want to have the best season to leave Celta where it deserves,” he confirmed.
