“We believe that Pulsoo will provide Portuguese entrepreneurs with a valuable tool for the effective and informed management of their businesses, allowing a comprehensive view of the ‘health’ of these companies,” adds Afonso Eca, Director of BPI.
BPI and NOS today launched Pulsoo, a free mobile application to facilitate the day-to-day management of small businesses, which ensures an aggregated view of the company's financial position and related transactions and simplifies compliance with regulatory and tax obligations.
“The platform unifies the management of all bank accounts, classifies the analysis of expenses and income and simplifies compliance with tax obligations,” the bank says, adding that the free application is now available to everyone on the App Store and Google Play, and is not exclusive to NOS and/or BPI customers. .
BPI is thus in direct competition with Rauva, which is awaiting authorization from the Bank of Portugal to buy Banco Empresas Montepio.
“The Pulsoo app leverages Open Banking technology to manage all bank accounts (from any bank) associated with a business's activity, allowing you to view expenses and income by category. Furthermore, business owners can link their IRS account to get alerts on relevant dates to fulfill their obligations.
“By providing a series of analytical information, such as statistics and trends, as well as outstanding tax liabilities and their deadlines, this solution enables smarter financial management, in addition to facilitating budgeting,” the statement reveals.
At the same time, the platform provides specialized content to enhance digitalization and financial literacy for SMEs and individual entrepreneurs (ENIs).
“This initiative reflects our firm commitment to innovative solutions for the business sector, which represents the backbone of the Portuguese business fabric,” says Afonso Fuzeta Eca, Director-designate of BPI, about the Pulsoo app, the result of the collaboration between BPI and NOS.
“We believe that Pulsoo will provide Portuguese entrepreneurs with a valuable tool for effective and informed management of their businesses, allowing a comprehensive view of the ‘health’ of these companies,” he adds.
“The launch release is the first step in building a differentiated product for this segment, to which new features will be added later this year,” adds the BPI director-designate.
“At NOS, we are working to capitalize on the country’s digital transformation and provide solutions that simplify the lives of companies through technology,” explains Manuel Ramalho Inés, Director of NOS, in the statement.
The director of the telecom operator also says that “this collaboration with BPI to create Pulsoo appears precisely within this commitment to corporate growth.”
“This is a simple solution whose needs have been identified through customer contact and which offers an intelligent approach linked to the challenges of small business management,” concludes Ramalho Ianes.
