On Wednesday, BMW unveiled a prototype car that can change color and feature digital features such as displaying driving data on the inside of the windshield.
This vehicle, called the i Vision Dee, was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas at an event attended by “Terminator” actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

BMW revealed last year at the same event a car that can change color, but only from white to black and gray in between.
This new car can change to the most varied colors, to solid color or with striped or plaid pattern.
The BMW i Vision Dee is just an idea for now, but it should shape the luxury automaker’s future vehicle design. The option to have driving data such as speed or direction flashes on the windshield is slated to be an option from 2025.
BMW also introduced the ability to display augmented reality images on the windshield and turn it into a full screen with technology that mixes the “real and virtual worlds”.
The idea is to use software to create the “ultimate companion” and deliver a personalized driving experience, said BMW chief Oliver Zips. Dee is an acronym for Digital Emotional Experience.
Schwarzenegger joked, “I was a little worried because in most of my films the machine has been the enemy. Now they’re the allies.”
