The Bard’s Memories tab is still in development, and will be able to remember personal information for future responses
Bard should offer a function to save user preferences in conversations with the AI: a “memory” function, which is still under development, will allow personal details to be entered to customize future AI responses. Information from 9to5Google.
An example of using a mnemonic is to record that you don’t eat meat: this way, when you ask for a new recipe, the AI can prepare a response that takes your diet into account. Otherwise, you’ll need to give this context for each new claim.
Conversations with Bard have a response limit: when the limit is reached, it is necessary to start a new dialogue and the Google chatbot deletes the previous information. The memory field will be used to customize the platform’s responses without the risk of losing information.
The new feature includes a form to fill out short commands in the Memories tab. The setting should be placed in the left corner of the screen and there is a button to activate or deactivate it.
Competitor ChatGPT has similar functionality, but is more complete, with a dedicated Help tab. The field allows you to enter everything you think is necessary for the AI as well as specify how you want to receive a response – you can specify the language tone and text size, for example.
Still in testing
The new Bard feature is still under development Google There is no expected arrival date. Little by little, the chatbot is becoming more powerful: Recently, the tool has also gained support for plugins You can find information in apps like Drive, Docs, and Gmail.
