a Bang & Olufsen has unveiled a new loudspeaker developed in collaboration with Danish-Italian design duo GamFratesi. The speaker is called Beosound 5 and it has a different design than most other products in this field.
“Beosound A5 is our new advanced portable speaker that combines Bang & Olufsen’s longstanding approach to timeless design with our vision for sound for the future”says Vice President of Product Marketing Michael Henrickson. “We are excited to collaborate with GamFratesi for the first time to create two speaker designs rooted in the Scandinavian aesthetic with a design signature that is distinctive in its own right.”.
The BeoSound A5 is available in two colours, one in natural aluminum with a woven paper-fiber front with a light oak knob and the other in anthracite black aluminum paired with a dark oak lid and knob. The handle of the Beosound A5 lets you take it anywhere, with the IP65 certification ensuring it stays safe from water and dust.
The Bang & Olufsen Beosound A5 can be used for about 12 hours before the battery needs to be recharged.
“Our inspiration for the Beosound A5 comes from many places, including the iconic Beolit series, as well as natural materials synonymous with colors and textures found in Scandinavian nature”says GamFratesi. “From the traditional Panama straw hats worn on the beaches, to the handwoven leather accents of Danish chairs from the 1960s, our design journey has guided a blend of experimentally applied natural materials.”.
The Bang & Olufsen Beosound A5 can be found starting Thursday, April 27, for 999 euros for the light version and 1099 for the darker version. Above you can see some pictures of this brand new shaft.
