Alex Telles is out of the world with an injury. The Brazilian full-back will return to Sevilla, but left a message of hope on social media at a difficult time in his career.
Paths are not straight, they have curves. Not all moments of life are filled with joy, but the good thing about them (and we always have a counterpoint to sadness) is that after crying, it’s time to smile. I always had a childhood dream, which is to defend my country in the World Cup. And this dream, you can be sure, doesn’t end here. Because this dream was not only mine, it has always been the dream of all those who love Brazil and live football intensely. I follow from the heart and as a fan from now on. As a matter of fact, I remained what I always felt: a Brazilian who never gave up on a dream. I did a drawing as a kid that showed everything I wanted and that, in fact, I’ve always wanted in my life. Before the match against Cameroon, I looked at this drawing and asked God to do His will. And that’s what I’m going through every minute since I left the field,” he wrote on the sidelines, on social media.
Alex Telles has sustained an internal collateral ligament injury of the knee and is undergoing conservative treatment, but surgery may be necessary.
