A group of Manchester United fans demonstrated, on Friday, at the entrance to the training center in Carrington, forcing the club to reinforce security in that area.
“Shame! Inappropriate to wear the jersey,” read the posters displayed by fans who also targeted the club’s owners: “Glazers Out.”

A Manchester United spokesman confirmed that “a small group of fans demonstrated peacefully” at the training center and stressed that the club remained “committed to strengthening communication” with fans.
The protests also drew a comment from coach Ralf Rangnick at a press conference.
“I understand the fans’ disappointment with our rankings and our performance against Everton. But I think our team is the best, if not the best, in England and as long as they protest peacefully and support the team on the field, they have every right to express their opinions.”
