In a press conference ahead of Sunday’s game, at Everton’s home, manager Bruno Lage once again paid tribute to Robin Neves.
“He’s a very good player in my opinion. I didn’t know Robben [Neves]It’s my first time working and it was a great pleasure. I know he did an interview with the club channels and one of the things was when he said he can do ten good things but when he fails one the coach will be there and that’s the pressure I want. He’s a player who wants to improve, he knows what I want from him and I think he can put us on a different level. He’s an incredible person, a great player, and he deserves all the best. We really enjoyed what he did on Thursday [vitória por 4-0 sobre o Watford com um grande golo de Rúben Neves]but he is already focused on repeating the performance against Everton”, stated Bruno Lage.
As for the match, the Portuguese coach anticipates difficulties: “Everton has a new coach [Frank Lampard]Different gameplay, sometimes with four defenders, sometimes with five. we will see. What I know is that the coach has experience, he was an excellent player and Everton have players who are very qualified. I expect another match like all the other matches in the Premier League, a tough one, but we have to move boldly and play our game.”
