In conversation with the play’s director, Rita Calatari shared what it was like to work with the community and that the main goal of the project was Demystifying Mental Health It was interesting to note that the topic of mental health began to gain clarity. Working with the community has been “amazing” and confirms that with this project, it is clear that Art is very influential Such wonderful projects can come out of there.
Rita Calatari leaves the invitation to see the play Desassossego, to reveal that the process of creating this play was intentional “Make what baja has to offer in terms of mental health to thrive”Whether through music, poetry or historical points of the city to be photographed there.
“Desassossego” began in August with the collection of information from the persons concerned, with theatrical workshops and, finally, with the visualization of the play that will be shown, this evening, and on Saturday, in Beja, at the Teatro Municipal – Pax Julia.
Produced by the Choir of Actors, directed by Miguel Magalhães, this project is supported by the Arts and Mental Health Partnership Support Program of the Directorate General of Arts (DGARTES) and has a partnership with Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Beja, the Municipality of Beja, the Portuguese Association for the Study of Mental Health and Radio Foz da Planisi.
