Joe Exotic thinks he might die if he doesn’t get out of prison soon. The star of Netflix documentary “Tiger King”, who is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence, has seen his health deteriorate over the past few months.
“I have IDCV, which is a common variable immune deficiency, which means that I do not have an immune system and have to receive blood transfusions every three or four weeks, and only receive every three months,” the businessman revealed in recent statements to Entertainment Tonight.
“I was heavy again last week and lost another 5 kilos, just last week,” he said with sadness.
In addition to the aforementioned disease, Joe Exotic suffers from anemia, and treatment for this pathology has been excluded.
“They used to take me for treatment, but they stopped that,” he says.
Last week I refused treatment for TB, because I am dealing with another disease, my mouth is full of sores. I can’t eat. I am in a bad condition, “he confirms, explaining that he fears for his life.
Joe Exotic hopes he can be released from prison, and the hope is that the businessman already has plans for that moment.
“If I survive this, because my health is getting worse every day, I will do nothing but wander around the world and help children born with cleft lip and cleft palate improve their faces,” he asserts.
