According to the document, seen today by Lusa on the PRR website, the Alto Alentejo Local Health Unit (ULSAA), headquartered in Portalegre, is the beneficiary of a total investment of 4,051,385 euros, to implement 12 interventions.
In this Alentejo region, the highest investment of €456,650 was allocated to the rehabilitation of the Frontera Health Centre, followed by work on the health centers in Socil (€443,500) and Castelo de Vide (€394,855).
The PRR also provides funding for the renovation of health centers in Aranches (€375,000), Alter do Chao (€373,650), Elvas and Ponte di Sor (€350,000 each), Aves (€338,450) and Gavião (€334,850). Monforte (284,430 euros) and Portalegre (250,000 euros).
The PRR invitation notice to ULSAA also includes funding of €100,000 for works on the outdoor spaces of the Campo Mayor Health Centre.
For the Beja region, the budget is expected to reach €1.6 million within the same notice as the call for applications.
The Baixo Alentejo Local Health Unit (ULSBA), based in Beja, is benefiting from a total budget of €800,000, for health expansion works in Rosario (€500,000), Semblana (€200,000) and São Barnaby (€100,000). ), all in the municipality of Almodovar.
For the extension works of Casevel, in the municipality of Castro Verde, an investment of 300 thousand euros is planned, while the rehabilitation of the extension of Vila Nova da Baronia, in the municipality of Alveto, will receive a support of 200 thousand euros.
Finally, the rehabilitation works of the Garvão Health Annex in Ourique will be supported by the Rehabilitation Program in the amount of €300,000.
In these three cases, the ultimate beneficiary of the competition is the municipal councils.
According to the Population Rapid Response Document, this funding aims to “expand primary health care and strengthen its central role in responding to the health needs of the population, within the global structure of the National Health Service.”
The included interventions “aim to improve accessibility, safety and comfort conditions for users and professionals,” among other things, the document states.
