During the interview, Fábio Vilas-Boas also explained that the lack of vaccinations for the second dose in the state occurred after the Ministry of Health issued instructions to anticipate doses and that the new fees were not completely replaced.
“What happened is that at a certain point, the Ministry of Health issued instructions to introduce the doses of the Eighth and Ninth Guidelines, and these guidelines have not been fully restored yet. In addition, everyone knows that there is a delay on Butantan’s side, a 20-day gap in the IFA supply” Explained.
For the month of May, the Minister of Health stated that the country should continue to receive more doses of the immunosuppressant that Fucruz produces than the doses of Coronavac.
“The agenda we’re getting now for the month of May includes distributing many doses of vaccines from Fucruz, some of them from Butantan. It will last a month with a few doses of Butantan, but Fucruz is increasing its production and I think this will tend to eliminate the production problem with Coronavac.”
