aAt the end of two years missing, a 25-year-old cat has been found in Upchurch, Kent, England, and reunited with its owners.
As reported by The Mirror, Kizzy, who is a staggering 116 in human years, was found malnourished and covered in fleas in a gutter by a concerned resident.
At that point, the lady took her to an animal rescue center where she was presumed stray due to her not having a microchip.
After Lost and Found Animals in Kent launched an online appeal, Alison Ling, 48, was shocked to see a picture of her cat, who disappeared just 13km from where she was found.
Finally, on May 21, Alison and her husband, Dean, reunited with Kizzy, who seemed happy to see them, too. “It’s absolutely incredible to see her again, but what are the odds? She’s lived for two years without a home and without a care,” Alison noted.
He added, “When she was seen in the gutter, the lady at first thought Kizzy was dead. She was thin, weighing only 2.5 kilograms, had worms and fleas and could not walk because of the length of her fingernails.”
According to Alison, the cat “recognized her husband’s scent and then cried.” “Now she relaxes with us and gets lots of hugs and treats.”
