touísa Sonza has changed the lyrics of the song “Chico”, which she wrote for her ex-boyfriend Chico Veiga, better known as Chico Moedas.
The Brazilian singer announced the end of her relationship with the digital influencer last September 20, on the morning program “Mais Você” on the Globo channel, presented by Ana Maria Braga.
The song is part of the artist’s latest work, “Escândalo Íntimo,” and was the most streamed song in Brazil on Spotify at the beginning of September.
With the end of the relationship due to the young man’s betrayal, as we previously indicated and you can read here, the artist wanted to change the lyrics of the song a little, as appeared today, Friday the 29th, at the concert in Porto Said.
Instead of the verse “Chico, if you want me”, Luisa sang “If you want me”. Before singing the song, the artist spoke to the audience and showed what the new version would be like so they could sing along. And it was.
“To paraphrase Chico Buarque, even more so, singing: ‘If you want me, I’m one of those women…’, he said. ‘That name [Chico] It’s just a name. He added: “This name is Chico Buarque, and this song is for me and Chico Buarque.”
