yOsvin Melville died Thursday, October 20, backstage at the theatrical stage he was in, “Nine Nine.”
Those in charge of Nottingham Playhouse, the theater where the show took place, explained that the actress was still being taken backstage by paramedics and an audience member with medical qualifications, but that she ended up dying on the spot.
“We are deeply saddened to announce that actress Josephine Melville passed away last night behind the scenes at Nottingham Playhouse following the performance of the Nine Night play in which she participated,” read the official statement from Nottingham Playhouse, which she admitted. At this time the entire theater team and the artistic team are “in shock.”
Josephine Melville gave life to Tessa Parker on EastEnders and was a part of productions such as The Bill, Casualty, and others. A writer, director, and actress, she is now remembered by friends and colleagues as a “highly respected reference artist”.
