On the second day of the monitoring mission with the international representatives of the German Development Bank KfW and the UK Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), the coordinators put forward a proposal to restructure the REM Acres Phase II project. The REM coordinators, who work in the secretariats and authorities of the state government, reviewed the work to be done by December 2023 and outlined the hard work to redesign it. Extensive work was overseen by the Project Integration Division at Zeblock (UCP / REM). And the guidance of international consulting, which helped managers to redefine the goals set out in the REM Benefit Sharing Note.
Representing organized civil society, Josie Aguirre, co-ordinator of the State Commission for the Verification and Monitoring (Seva) of the Environmental Services Incentives Agency (CISA), stressed that the event should also go through a structuring process.

The REM Acre Phase II project is the result of financial cooperation between the Governments of Acre, Germany and the United Kingdom to implement projects aimed at conserving forests and maintaining their populations. REM stands for REDD Early Movers, REDD + Pioneers in Portuguese.
