The analysis also shows that Brazil ranks third among the countries that believe in the importance of virtual presence for the advancement of its companies, at 76%.
In the experience economy, where sharing takes place through various communication channels, digital is gaining prominence
On average, nine in ten (92%) entrepreneurs in the country are confident (42%) or very confident (50%) that their business revenue will grow in 2023. The data is part of the Global Entrepreneurship Survey, conducted by GoDaddy with Small companies from eight countries: Germany, Australia, Canada, the United States, India, Mexico and the United Kingdom, plus Brazil.
According to the study, the level of optimism of Brazilians (92%) is higher than that of entrepreneurs from countries with the highest HDI (Human Development Index), such as the United Kingdom (74%). In addition to the expectations of entrepreneurs for this year, the survey analyzes the recent state of the sector, the level of digitization of the participating companies and the plans that entrepreneurs have for the near future.
Another point highlighted by the survey is that Brazil has the highest percentage of people (40%) who have invested in training courses. Moreover, 99% of respondents here believe that creating and managing a business email address is crucial to increasing brand visibility.
By the way, when it comes to digitization, 44% of Brazilian entrepreneurs already have a website and 44% plan to fork out their own web addresses. Moreover, 46% of respondents in the country already run their own virtual store, while 36% plan to open an online store.
As a result of this data, Brazil ranks third among the countries that believe most in the importance of virtual presence for the advancement of its companies (76%), behind Mexico (77%) and India (82%).
says Christina Bonner, Chairman of the Drexel Group, an entrepreneur in the technology sector and founder of the NGO Associação das Mulheres Empreendedoras (AME).
“In the experience economy, where sharing takes place through various communication channels, digital has a prominent place,” she says.
Bonner points out that in Brazil (40%) and Mexico (47%), the top reason GoDaddy survey respondents gave for starting a business is the need or desire for an additional source of income. “This means that Brazilians are at the forefront of entrepreneurship and that the land, although sandy, is worth taking the risk and trying,” he said.
In the opinion of the Chairman of the Review Board of the Drexel Group, to be a successful entrepreneur in Brazil it is necessary to have skills such as vision, innovation, task delegation, time management and flexibility.
In addition, it is important that you have dedication, perseverance and the ability to deal with uncertainty and adversity. It is worth remembering that seeking information and practicing effective financial management are also important habits,” he says.
