A man died outside the Piedras Salgadas Health Center in Villa Boca de Aguiar. The family was forced to call 112, after not receiving any assistance from the health center team. The Northern Regional Health Department has opened an investigation.
This case occurred last Friday, the day an 89-year-old migrant felt unwell at his home in the village of Sotilinho do Monte, in Villa Boca de Aguiar. The family went to Piedras Salgadas Health Centre.
The victim’s niece stormed the health center facilities, but given the request for help and description of the situation, the response she received was to call 112.
Panic began in and Enem and resources from volunteer firefighters at Vila Pouca de Aguiar, after a phone call.
The distance between the barracks and the Piedras Salgadas health center is just over six kilometres. It took less than four minutes from the activation of the means until assistance was provided to the victim. Meanwhile, the medical team from Chavez Hospital arrived to assist the firefighters.
In Villa Boca de Aguiar, in addition to the health care unit at the municipal headquarters, there are two other centres, this one in Piedras Salgadas and in
Galis field. Seeking help from INEM is not uncommon.
The Northern District Health Department confirmed to SIC that the case prompted the opening of an investigation process to determine all the details.
