The start of the 2022/2023 season for Sporting.
This morning the Academy in Alcochet reopened the doors of the Pro Pavilion for the return of the national runner-up to work. Forty-four days later, the lion is back, with renewed ambitions, in what will be the fourth season of Robin Amorim leading the technical team, the third from the start, and with well-defined goals: to fight for all titles once again. Teams, be present in the decisions and perform better in the Champions League, where the lion was present last season in the round of 16, for the second time in the history of the competition in the current form.
The players will be undergoing medical and physical exams this morning (including covid-19), which is why many youngsters will be able to start, from today, trying to convince Rúben Amorim to retain a place in the Lions’ main squad, the 2022/2023 edition.
It’s only that, this afternoon, with no time to lose, the ball is rolling again on the Academy’s lawns, in the first pre-season training session.
As A BOLA reported last Saturday, names like Diego Calle, Marsa and Renato Vega, for example, will have space at this start of the business, as well as Diogo Abreu, a young midfielder appointed at no cost from FC Porto, who will now try confirmed His credentials that led Assad to move to work.
