There are 23 new cases of infection to be reported, this Sunday, in Madeira. There are eight cases coming from the United Kingdom (5), France (1), the southern region (1) and the United Arab Emirates (1). The remaining 15 cases are local transmission.
With 28 more cases recovered, there are now 255 active cases, of which 86 are imported and 169 are local transmission.
Regarding the isolation of active cases, it should be noted that eight people are hospitalized at Dr. Nelio Mendonca Hospital (five less than yesterday).

Seven people were hospitalized in polyvalent units and one in the intensive care unit designated for Covid-19. Another 73 people have been quarantined in a designated hotel unit, the rest in their private residences.
In total, there are 96 situations currently under consideration by health authorities, these relate to travelers who have been identified at the airport, or who have been in contact with positive cases or other situations reported to the SRS24 line or coming from various testing centers in the territory.
With regard to the active monitoring of contacts of positive cases, the health authorities in the various municipalities of Madeira and Porto Santo are monitoring 524 people.
In terms of monitoring travelers, the authorities are also monitoring 46,161 people using the Madeira Save app.
In the course of the passenger tracking process at the region’s ports and airports, a total of 282,673 PCR test crops will be reported as of 3:30 PM today. In total, to date, the samples treated for this type of assay (PCR) amounted to 559.523.
As for the rapid antigen tests, a total of 74,049 tests have been conducted so far.
