Portugal on Wednesday recorded more than 3,203 cases of COVID-19 and 15 deaths linked to the disease, according to the latest report from the Directorate General of Health (DGS) released today.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, 17,412 people have died from this disease in the national territory and 977,406 cases of SARS-CoV-2 have been identified.
According to the latest official report, there were 3,290 more recoveries in the past 24 hours. In all, 912,620 patients have recovered from the disease in Portugal since March 2020.
The region of Lisbon and the Valle do Tejo, which recorded 1,262 new infections, is the region of the country with the most recent notifications, with a total of 39.4% of diagnoses.
