EA Motive examines possibility.
EA Motive has plans to introduce content cut from the original Dead Space in the remake.
In a conversation with IGN, Creative Director Roman Campos-Oriola, Visceral Games was forced to change some things in its initial plan due to technical limitations and this time, EA Motive will be able to overcome those limitations.
The level design will be used from the original and this will allow you to see how the game has changed over the course of development.
“We started by designing the original Dead Space original level. The funny thing is that you can see how some of the tweaks were made before the release by the team. In the first chapter you can see some of the contestants who initially wanted to do it a certain way and then you can understand why they changed it due to limitations artistic”.
This could allow a Dead Space remake to beat to a more subtle tone, and as well as relive this intense journey through the spacecraft, a more faithful version of the game’s initial concept might emerge.
