The number of illegal immigrants crossing the English Channel from France to England is breaking records.
The number of immigrants this year is already higher than last year’s total.
The significant increase in illegal crossings led British Interior Minister Priti Patel to announce a package of more than 62 million euros in support of France’s efforts to combat illegal immigration.
As of July 19, a total of 8,452 illegal immigrants had arrived in the UK, up from last year’s total.
