The German Football Association stated on Twitter that the match, which drew 1-1, ended five minutes early: “The German players left the field after Jordan Torunariga was subjected to racist abuse.”
The Honduran Federation also used social media to defend itself, claiming that the whole thing was a “misunderstanding on the field”.
