easyJet is launching around 16,000 seats on flights between Portugal and the UK in response to strong demand for travel to this destination. T
The company, in a note sent to the newsroom, says that “as expected, there was an increase in UK bookings within hours of the UK government confirming that from 19 July, travelers were fully vaccinated and people would no longer need to be isolated when they arrived.” Their return from destinations included in the amber list.”
Flight bookings to Amber’s list of destinations for this summer have increased by 400% and holiday bookings by more than 440% from week to week in the hours since the announcement, she says.
Portugal, Spain, and Greece are among the countries on Amber’s list of most popular flights for this summer, with Faro, Alicante, Malaga, Nice and Corfu favorites to book flights from this list.
To meet demand, easyJet has put more than 145,000 additional seats up for sale this summer between the UK and the amber list countries, including Portugal, Spain, Greece, France, Italy, Croatia and Cyprus.
Nearly 16,000 additional seats are now up for sale on existing routes from the UK to Portugal this summer, with fares available this summer from just €22.99, including: • Faro to Belfast, Bristol, London Gatwick and Liverpool.
