As A BOLA has already announced, Tomás Bozinoski is a boost for UD Leiria.
The young goalkeeper, aged just 22, officially became the Leirienses’ new booster on Sunday, having been at the service of his neighbor Marinhense last season (from where the right-back, Habib Sylla will also arrive), making 10 appearances.
With dual citizenship – Portuguese and North Macedonian-, Bozniewski, who is the son of Vlado Bosniewski (former midfielder, who represented in Portugal, Sporting, Pacos de Ferreira, Beira Mar and Flegeras), underwent coaching by Beira Mar, Estarreja, FC Porto, Académica and Eirense and V. Guimarães and Paços de Ferreira, having later, as a senior, donned the shirts of Feirense and Marinhense.
Felipe Candido presented on Monday
The start of the week will be marked by the introduction of Philippe Candido as the new head coach of UD Leiria.
For this purpose, the motto of the city of Lis has set a press conference, which will begin at 15:00 on Monday, in the Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa, in Leiria.
Remember, the 41-year-old, who was last season with Mafra, in Liga 2, has returned to a house he knows well, where he coached UD Leiria between 2018 and 2020, having stayed, even very close to a move to professional competitions – losing to Villafrancoense, in 2018/2019, in the semi-finals of the promotion qualifiers, with a penalty kick.
Now, when it’s time to head back to Leiria, Filipe Cândido faces the same challenge: getting up in class. The club will compete in Liga 3, the latest event on the national calendar, and the ambition of the investors ahead of SAD Leiriense in particular is to bring the Leiria logo back to the highest levels of Portuguese football.
