A special epidemiological bulletin from the Ministry of Health indicates that at least 3.8 million Brazilians who received the first dose of the vaccine against COVID-19 did not receive the second dose and had a delayed vaccination schedule. The figure corresponds to 15% of those who had to go to a health center to close the cycle.
The analysis was carried out by the ministry based on data recorded in the National Health Data Network between January 17 and June 14. The newsletter was published last Friday.

By that date, according to the bulletin, 52 million people had received the first dose of one of the three vaccines available to date (AstraZeneca, CoronaVac and Pfizer). As of yesterday, according to the latest data from the Press Association, 25.2 million Brazilians have completed the course of vaccination in both doses.
