Next Saturday, June 5, the residents of Parque Paraiso will benefit from the fight against dengue fever through Operation Kata Pajulo. The measure is a partnership between the Municipal Health Authority and the Department of Municipal Works and Services and aims to eradicate an outbreak of the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which transmits diseases such as dengue fever, Zika virus and chikungunya.
Throughout Saturday morning, zoonoses and community agents from the Municipal Health Authority will make home visits to place water tank covers in homes without a water tank cover. Agents will also distribute educational brochures and instruct residents on the care needed to keep the home free of mosquito breeding sites.
Meanwhile, agents from the Ministry of Works and Services are working in the Kata Bagulhu operation, collecting tires, furniture, utensils, broken appliances, plastic, wood scraps and anything that could serve as a hotbed for dengue mosquitoes.
Stay tuned! Cooperate to keep your area free of dengue mosquito.
