One of the most spectacular swimming pools in the world opens on Wednesday, May 19. Located in London, UK, it is the first suspended swimming pool between two ten-story residential buildings, and Embassy Gardens buildings, 35 meters above the ground. The opening has been postponed due to the pandemic, but it comes just in time for the summer and for the adventurers (and the lucky ones) who will be able to dive into the transparent pool, as if they were floating meters high.
We say lucky, as only apartment dwellers can enjoy the Sky Pool. However, nothing prevents him from investing in one of these homes which cost an average of £ 900,000 (over a million euros). If you can’t buy this millionaire, you can simply have fun with this acrylic, steel frame work.
The bold idea to install a swimming pool between the two Embassy Gardens Legacy buildings was from Arup Associates architects, who are familiar with, and are responsible for, large projects, such as the Sydney Opera House in Australia.
Despite its durability, it’s hard not to think of how not to break a pool containing about 375 tons of water. The secret is to trust the company that made it and swim 25 meters without ever opening your eyes underwater – unless you are a truly fearless man.
The swimming pool is one of the resort’s attractions, which will also include bars, restaurants and shops.
